IndiGo flights face separate security incidents in India

Two separate incidents involving IndiGo flights occurred in India, prompting emergency responses at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

In one instance, an IndiGo flight arriving from Ahmedabad triggered a security alert after a student reportedly claimed a bomb was on board. Following the threat, the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay, and passengers were safely deboarded. Bomb disposal units and dog squads conducted inspections of the cabin and aircraft to search for suspicious objects. Authorities worked to determine the validity of the warning.

In a separate event, an IndiGo flight traveling from Delhi to Chennai was diverted to Hyderabad after a passenger's power bank caught fire. The crew diverted the aircraft as a precaution, and it landed safely. No injuries were reported, but the incident highlighted ongoing aviation safety concerns regarding lithium-ion battery malfunctions during flight.
