Indio Restaurant Hit-and-Run Investigation Continues

On Sunday morning at about 7:15 a.m., a white 2024 Chevrolet pickup truck crashed into the Burger Box restaurant on Indio Boulevard in Indio, California, breaking windows and damaging the front of the building. Surveillance video shows the truck pulling into the lot, striking the structure, and leaving the scene without stopping.

No injuries were reported. Indio Police are searching for the driver; the vehicle’s owner told investigators that a 22‑year‑old cousin may have taken the truck. Police have not released a description of the driver. Burger Box remains closed for repairs, has opened a GoFundMe page for assistance, and co‑owner Anthony Ruiz thanked the community for its support.
