Indira Ampiot supports Miss France withdrawal from Miss Universe

Indira Ampiot, Miss France 2023, has expressed her support for the Miss France organization's decision to withdraw from the Miss Universe competition. Ampiot stated that the values of the two organizations are no longer aligned, citing organizational issues and a lack of equity during her own participation in Miss Universe 2024.

As she prepares to represent France at Miss World 2026, Ampiot noted that she finds the Miss World competition more consistent with her values.

In a separate personal reflection, Ampiot recounted a life-threatening battle with hemorrhagic dengue fever. She described the severity of the illness, which caused significant weight loss and physical deterioration, noting that she feared for her life before eventually making a full recovery.
