Indirect Taxation Administration issues 58 VAT refunds for first real estate

The Indirect Taxation Administration (UIO) announced that between September 17 and September 24, it issued 58 decisions regarding VAT refunds for first-time real estate purchases. The total approved refund amount for these decisions is 857,570 KM.

Of the 58 decisions, 22 were issued in Banja Luka, 18 in Sarajevo, 10 in Tuzla, and 8 in Mostar. Currently, 25 decisions have been delivered to citizens and payments have been processed, while the remaining 33 are in the process of being delivered via mail.

The UIO noted that the speed of payment depends on how the decision is received. Citizens who collect their decisions in person at a regional center can expect funds to be deposited the following day. For those receiving decisions by mail, payments are processed after the UIO receives the return receipt as legal proof of delivery.
