Inditex and H&M report divergent market performance

Inditex shares closed at 53.26 euros on the Madrid Stock Exchange, marking a 0.68 percent increase. The stock's performance was influenced by broader market trends, including falling oil prices which supported European markets.

In contrast, H&M reported third-quarter revenue of approximately 57.2 billion Swedish kronor, a slight increase of one percent at constant exchange rates. Despite an operating profit of 6 billion kronor—exceeding analyst expectations of 5.3 billion kronor—investors reacted negatively. The company's stock fell toward its yearly low as analysts expressed concerns regarding high inventory levels and gross margins that missed expectations. H&M also noted potential increases in procurement costs due to geopolitical tensions in Iran and anticipated price discounts ahead of Black Friday.
