Inditex receives license to demolish facilities in Sabón

The Arteixo City Council has granted Inditex a license to demolish an old precast plant located in the Sabón industrial park. The project involves parcels 25 and 26, formerly occupied by the company Prefhorvisa. The demolition work has an estimated execution budget of approximately 320,320 euros.

The municipality has set a timeframe for the works to begin within six months and be completed within three years, though reports suggest the demolition may occur much sooner. This action is part of a broader expansion plan by the textile multinational to improve its facilities in the Arteixo region, which includes projects such as a new canteen, a garment factory, and a solar production plant at its A Laracha logistics center.

Additionally, the demolition of parcel 24, which houses the Arteixo fire station and municipal services, is scheduled for October 2. Local authorities have already begun moving municipal services to temporary facilities to accommodate the construction of new dependencies.
