Individuals fined for possession of fireworks and firearm parts
Two separate legal cases involving the illegal possession of fireworks and firearm-related items have resulted in fines for the offenders.
In the United Kingdom, Abdullah Hassan of Redditch was fined £3,000 at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to offences involving the sale of fireworks that endangered staff, customers, and residents living in apartments above his shop.
In Australia, Brayden Grant appeared in Bega Local Court after being found in possession of a single firework, a gel blaster magazine, and a .44 bullet. While the judge noted that the maximum combined penalties for these offences could reach $40,000, Grant was fined a total of $3,000. The court characterized his actions as being at the lower end of seriousness.
