Individuals seek privacy through unique lifestyle changes

Two individuals, Marc and Véronique Bernal, have relocated from Nice to become the sole permanent residents of Sainte-Lucie, a small island in the Aude department near Port-la-Nouvelle. The couple, aged 66 and 69, serves as the island's guardians, living there for nine months of the year from February to November. Their responsibilities include maintenance, gardening, and managing up to 30 visitors at a time.

In a separate lifestyle shift, singer Michel Sardou and his wife, Anne-Marie Périer, have moved to Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Var region. Seeking privacy away from the spotlight, the couple purchased a large villa in Cap Bénat for approximately 6.3 million euros in 2023. The estate features a pool, a cinema, and views of the Mediterranean, providing a secluded residence following Sardou's recent tours.
