Indodax urges crypto industry to prepare for quantum‑computing risks
Indodax chief marketing officer Aloysia Dian said quantum computing is becoming a strategic issue for the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem. She warned that future quantum computers could break current cryptographic safeguards, but also noted potential new applications of the technology. The remarks were made at Indodax’s ETH Genesis: Quantum Leap event in Jakarta on 4 August 2026, where she called for industry‑wide discussion, education and stronger security standards.
Dian highlighted that over the past decade Ethereum has underpinned most Web3 innovations – from decentralized finance and NFTs to smart‑contract platforms and asset tokenisation – and that the sector must now adapt its infrastructure to the emerging quantum threat. The message was directed at Indonesian crypto firms and the broader global community, urging proactive measures before quantum attacks become feasible.
