Indonesia accelerates digital talent development and AI training programs

The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) said that strengthening digital talent is essential for Indonesia to compete in the global technology arena. Deputy Minister Nezar Patria emphasized moving the country from merely using technology to creating it, highlighting partnerships with universities and the AI Talent Factory program that expands digital skills across campuses.

The Ministry of Labor (Kemnaker) announced that its training centers are now offering artificial‑intelligence and digital‑skill courses. Minister Yassierli noted that Indonesia lags behind comparable nations in the Digital Skill Index, so the centers will provide up‑skilling and re‑skilling for workers, with curriculum support from multinational IT and AI firms.
