Indonesia and Azerbaijan seek strategic industrial and investment cooperation

Indonesia and Azerbaijan are working to strengthen bilateral ties through increased cooperation in strategic sectors, including energy, processing industries, and infrastructure. During a meeting in Baku, Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Todotua Pasaribu, met with Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, Azer Bayramov, to discuss expanding economic partnerships.

While Azerbaijani investment in Indonesia is currently limited, officials view this as an opportunity to build complementary economic relationships. The discussions focused on moving beyond simple commodity trade toward concrete projects that provide added value to both economies. Both parties agreed to enhance inter-institutional communication and coordination to identify and realize potential investment projects.
