Indonesia and Jordan strengthen humanitarian aid for Palestinians

Indonesia and Jordan are strengthening humanitarian collaborations to support Palestinian citizens, focusing on healthcare and long-term education. Baznas RI has committed over Rp1.7 billion to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) in Jordan to optimize medical services for Palestinians.

Beyond immediate medical aid, Baznas RI is implementing a sustainable long-term program by providing scholarships for Palestinian students to study in Indonesia, particularly in the healthcare sector. This initiative aims to build professional capacity through higher education.

In a separate gesture of solidarity, the Palestinian Embassy in Indonesia organized a community service event in Jakarta. Palestinian diplomats, students, and community members participated in local 'gotong royong' (communal work) to clean and beautify the Menteng area. The activity served as a public expression of gratitude for Indonesia's enduring support of the Palestinian people ahead of Indonesia's Independence Day.
