Indonesia and Mongolia strengthen partnership at 70th anniversary
Indonesia and Mongolia are working to strengthen their bilateral partnership as they mark 70 years of diplomatic relations. The milestone was commemorated during a diplomatic reception in Ulaanbaatar on September 29, 2026, which also celebrated the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence.
Djauhari Oratmangun, the Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia, stated that deeper cooperation is essential to navigate a complex global landscape characterized by ongoing conflicts, rising protectionism, and supply chain disruptions. He emphasized that the partnership is a necessity for addressing critical challenges in energy and food security, as well as for building more resilient supply chains and diversifying markets.
