Indonesia and U.S. establish 10 science and technology research collaborations
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) of Indonesia and the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C., have mapped out 10 pilot science and technology research collaborations with the United States.
These strategic initiatives involve universities, research institutions, and industries from both nations. The collaborative focus areas include the downstreaming of rare earth elements (LTJ) and critical minerals, marine research, energy transition, natural rubber-based aircraft tires, livestock, manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), space exploration, and applied nuclear technology through Small Modular Reactors (SMR).
The framework aims to accelerate and consolidate research, science, and technology initiatives between Indonesian entities and strategic partners in the U.S.
