Indonesia and Vantara partner to boost wildlife conservation
The Indonesian Ministry of Forestry has entered into a major partnership with Vantara, a global wildlife conservation initiative founded by Anant Ambani, to enhance the nation's wildlife health and conservation infrastructure.
Announced in Jakarta, the collaboration includes PT Fauna Land Group, a prominent Indonesian wildlife organization. The initiative aims to improve veterinary medical facilities, increase animal husbandry expertise, and strengthen in situ conservation capabilities. The partnership will focus on areas such as medical treatment, technical consultancy, infrastructure development, and field personnel training.
Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni stated that the program will be owned and managed by the Indonesian government to ensure it meets national conservation priorities. Vantara CEO Vivaan Karani noted that the organization intends to share its deep expertise in wildlife health and veterinary care to help protect Indonesia's unique biodiversity.
