Indonesia animation industry sees significant growth and hardware demand
The Indonesian animation industry is experiencing significant growth. According to the ‘Indonesia Animation Report 2026’ from the Ministry of Creative Economy, there are currently 262 animation studios in the country employing 3,448 people. The industry has produced 308 original animation works for global platforms, with its national value reaching Rp798.15 billion in 2025—a more than threefold increase over the last decade. This value is projected to rise to approximately Rp882 billion in 2026.
Studios such as Dipadira Studio in Yogyakarta exemplify this expansion, contributing to the growing ecosystem of original Indonesian content.
To support these technical demands, hardware selection remains critical for animators. Effective 3D rendering and motion graphics require a balance of CPU, GPU, VRAM, and RAM. Key hardware considerations for 2026 include NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, a minimum of 16 GB of RAM, and high-speed SSDs. Notable laptop models suitable for these workloads include the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i, ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16, and Acer Predator Helios Neo 16.
