Indonesia BMX Team Prepares for 2026 Asian Games at Banyuwangi Track

Indonesia’s national BMX squad has intensified its training at the International BMX Supercross Track in Banyuwangi as part of preparations for the Aichi‑Nagoya Asian Games in September 2026. Chef de Mission Todotua Pasaribu visited the venue, praising the track’s standards and describing it as a long‑term investment for developing elite BMX talent, including ahead of the 2027 SEA Games.

The Indonesian Cycling Federation, represented by Secretary‑General Jadi Rajagukguk, and analysts from Kemenpora and the Indonesian Olympic Committee are supporting the program. Kemenpora has set a target of four gold medals for Indonesia’s cycling contingent, with at least one expected from BMX, while the federation hopes to win more. Seven top BMX athletes are currently training in Banyuwangi, with plans to send 21 cyclists and seven coaches to the Asian Games and to participate in overseas try‑outs for additional experience.
