Indonesia Boosts Local Tax Data and Transfer Fund Oversight

Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs has called on regional governments to build a comprehensive database of local tax and levy potentials (PDRD) to improve the accuracy of fiscal projections and increase local revenue. The initiative aims to break the cycle of low tax ratios by providing a solid foundation for revenue analysis, new source identification, and more effective collection policies.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance launched the new "Perdana" mapping feature within the Regional Financial Information System (SIKD) to tighten supervision of central‑to‑regional transfer funds. The tool integrates funding needs, priority projects, and output tracking, allowing the central government to monitor spending more precisely and assess real‑world impacts on communities.
