Indonesia boosts youth entrepreneurship with Pertamina startup contest and Jepara PKW program
The Ministry of Education and Culture, together with local authorities in Jepara, concluded the 2026 Entrepreneurship Skills Education (PKW) program. Over 32 days, participants received training in batik design, sewing, business management, entrepreneurship character building, and digital marketing, aiming to create new, sustainable enterprises and strengthen the creative economy of Jepara.
State oil company Pertamina opened registration for its Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2026 competition, targeting university students nationwide. The contest supports early‑stage startups and energy‑focused innovations, with the goal of translating academic ideas into commercial solutions that address energy security, agriculture, fisheries and digital technology challenges across Indonesia.
