The INA-LAC Business Mission 2026, held in Santiago, Chile, on October 1-2, resulted in concrete business transactions totaling US$328.98 million (approximately Rp 5.9 trillion). The mission also generated potential transactions valued at US$344.08 million, representing increases of 10.8 percent and 21.2 percent, respectively, compared to the 2025 mission held in São Paulo, Brazil.

Organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia) and the Chilean Industrial Development Association (SOFOFA), the event featured 26 leading Indonesian companies. The mission aimed to strengthen trade and investment ties between Indonesia and the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, which encompasses 33 countries and a population of approximately 670 million.

During the event, four business agreements were signed to facilitate further cooperation. Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno noted that the theme, ‘Bridging Continents, Unlocking Opportunities’, addresses global geopolitical dynamics and their impact on energy and food security. Discussions also highlighted the importance of economic integration between Chile and Southeast Asia, with proposals to expand cooperation in the energy and mining sectors.
