Indonesia commemorates 400 years of Syekh Yusuf Al-Makassari

The Indonesian Ministry of Culture held a narrative meeting in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Syekh Yusuf Al-Makassari. The event aimed to introduce the life, struggles, and teachings of the scholar to both national and international audiences.

Syekh Yusuf Al-Makassari, born in Gowa, South Sulawesi, in 1626, was a prominent Sufi scholar whose influence extended to Africa.
