Indonesia competes in 15 sports at 2026 Asian Games

Indonesian athletes are competing across 15 sports during the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Gifu. The scheduled disciplines include wushu, soft tennis, karate, shooting, basketball, swimming, and women's hockey.

In swimming, 19-year-old Jason Donovan Yusuf set a new Indonesian national record in the men's 100-meter backstroke with a time of 54.89 seconds during the heats at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre. Although he advanced to the final, he finished 10th with a time of 55.59 seconds. The gold medal in that event was won by China's Xu Jiayu.

Other Indonesian competitors are active in various categories. In wushu, following Seraf Naro Siregar's initial medal, athletes are competing in changquan, taijiquan, and various weight classes. Karate athletes are also scheduled to face opponents from nations including Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
