Indonesia deports Thai corruption fugitive to Thailand

Indonesian immigration authorities, in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), have deported a Thai national identified as PV to Thailand. The individual was apprehended in Indonesia after attempting to extend a Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS) at the South Jakarta Immigration Office.

PV had been residing in Indonesia since February 2026, working for a private company. His deportation follows a formal request for assistance from the KPK and the revocation of his passport by the Thai government due to his alleged involvement in a corruption case. Because he lacked valid travel documents, his presence in Indonesia constituted a violation of the 2011 Immigration Law.
