Indonesian regional councils approve 2025 APBD accountability drafts
On 27 July 2026, the DPRD of Bengkulu Tengah voted to adopt a draft regional regulation (Raperda) on the accountability of the 2025 regional budget (APBD). The plenary session was led by chair Fepi Suheri and attended by Bupati Rachmat Riyanto.
The same day, the DPRD of Surabaya also approved its own Raperda on APBD 2025 accountability. Mayor Eri Cahyadi said the draft will be forwarded to the East Java governor within three days for further evaluation before the 2026 financial amendment (PAK) process.
Separately, the DPRD of Mojokerto’s Commission III held a review of first‑semester 2026 APBD absorption together with the city’s Social Welfare and Women‑Empowerment Agency. Committee chair Indro Tjahjono reported that domestic‑product (PDN) spending had reached 39.57 % of target, below the 50 % goal, and highlighted the need to avoid end‑year spending bottlenecks.
