Indonesia enforces mandatory use of Coretax tax platform
Indonesia’s Directorate General of Taxes has ordered that all tax administration processes be conducted exclusively through the digital Coretax system beginning July, aiming to boost transparency, governance and eliminate off‑system paperwork. Director General Bimo Wijayanto said, "Starting this July, Coretax will truly become the core system," and noted that the platform has already lifted revenue and filing compliance, with individual income‑tax revenue rising to Rp8.78 trillion and corporate tax to Rp25.11 trillion.
Users have reported access problems such as errors and slow loading. Practical steps to resolve these issues include checking internet connectivity, clearing browser cache, switching browsers, disabling firewalls or antivirus temporarily, and verifying server status. The guidance aims to keep tax filing uninterrupted as the mandatory rollout proceeds.
