Indonesia EV market expands with Chery Tiggo 9 CSH V2L feature and BYD dealer growth
Chery introduced the Tiggo 9 CSH plug‑in hybrid SUV in Indonesia, equipped with a Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) system that can deliver up to 6.6 kW of power. The 34.46 kWh battery can run household appliances such as electric stoves, rice cookers and projectors without the engine running, offering a portable power source beyond typical electric‑vehicle capabilities.
Meanwhile, Haka Auto, a major BYD dealer in Indonesia, announced plans to expand its network to 40 outlets, with a focus on Sulawesi and other regions outside Java. The expansion aims to boost electric‑vehicle adoption nationally, where EV sales now approach 20 % of total vehicle sales, and includes new 1.5 MW flash‑charging infrastructure to support the growing market.
