Indonesia EV market grows as BYD dealer network expands and VinFast launches family MPV

Haka Auto, the Indonesian distributor for BYD electric vehicles, now operates 22 dealerships across the country and plans further expansion. The network sells BYD models such as the Seal, Sealion 7, Atto 3, Dolphin, Atto 1, M6 EV and the dual‑mode M6 DM, and it has opened recruitment for sales, service, technical and administrative roles. "Hingga saat ini Haka Auto telah memiliki dan mengoperasionalkan 22 dealer di berbagai wilayah Indonesia," said senior manager Achmad Rosyadi Natsir.

VinFast introduced the VF MPV 7, a seven‑seat electric MPV aimed at families. It features a 201 hp motor, a flexible cabin with a Camping Mode, and free charging at VinFast’s V‑GREEN stations. Production takes place at the Subang plant in West Java. The company highlighted a nationwide charging network of about 2,900 stations, including 800 in the Jakarta‑Bogor‑Depok‑Tangerang‑Bekasi area. "Kami memiliki 2 900 stasiun pengisian daya yang sudah beroperasi," said VinFast Indonesia head Rinaldi Ramdani.
