Indonesia expands energy infrastructure for industrial growth
Indonesia is expanding its energy infrastructure to support industrial growth and investment. In Cirebon, PLN UP3 Cirebon has connected PT Quanfeng Tech Indonesia, a footwear industry company, to a 2,075 kVA power supply to support its operational needs and local economic activity.
In Batam, PT PP (Persero) Tbk has appointed global energy infrastructure firm Black & Veatch to provide detailed engineering design for the Batam Bintan 1 Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (PLTGU) power plant. The project, owned by PT PLN Batam, will add 120 MW of capacity to strengthen energy resilience in the region, which is growing as a hub for industry, logistics, and digital data centers.
