Indonesia expands mobile driver's license renewal to Yogyakarta and Bandung

Indonesia's police traffic units are operating mobile driver’s license (SIM) renewal services in two major regions. In Yogyakarta, the SIM Keliling program runs daily at rotating locations, with a schedule for 1 July 2026 showing service at the Godean sub‑district office from 08:30 to 13:00, and a weekly rotation that includes Prambanan, Condongcatur, a Ring Road Timur site, and different venues in Bantul and Berbah on Fridays.

The program serves only renewal of active Class A and Class C licenses. Applicants must bring an electronic ID card, the current SIM, photocopies of both, and valid medical and psychological certificates. The service aims to reduce the need to visit a fixed Satpas office.

In Bandung, the mobile SIM service operates on 30 June 2026 with two vehicles serving Pasar Koja (Jl Soekarno‑Hatta 128‑130) and Pasar Modern Batununggal (Jl Batununggal Blok RG 3) from 09:00 to 12:00. Renewals are allowed only before the licence expires; expired licences require a new issuance. Fees are Rp80,000 for a Class A renewal and Rp75,000 for a Class C renewal. Required documents mirror Yogyakarta’s list.

Both initiatives are part of a broader effort to make licence renewal more convenient for motorists across Indonesia.
