Jakarta Police Launch Mobile Driver's License Renewal Service
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) through the Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate (Polda Metro Jaya) has deployed a mobile "SIM Keliling" service to renew driver’s licenses (SIM A and SIM C) across five locations in Jakarta on 5–6 August 2026. The pop‑up booths operate from 08:00 to 14:00 at Mall Grand Cakung (East Jakarta), LTC Glodok (West Jakarta), the parking area of Universitas Trilogi Kalibata (South Jakarta), the lobby of Kantor Pos Lapangan Banteng (Central Jakarta) and the south lobby of Mall Ciputra (West Jakarta).
The service is limited to renewals; new licences must still be obtained at a Satpas office. Applicants must present a valid ID, the current SIM and its copy, a health certificate and a psychological‑test result. The renewal fees follow the 2020 government regulation: Rp 80,000 for SIM A and Rp 75,000 for SIM C.
Similar mobile‑renewal booths are also scheduled in other regencies: Kulonprogo (multiple sites), Bogor, Bekasi and Bandung, each with specific dates and venues. The initiative aims to reduce queues at traditional offices and make licence renewal more convenient for motorists.
