Indonesia expands mobile vehicle‑tax and driver‑license services

On Thursday 16 July 2026 the Indonesian government deployed a mobile Samsat (vehicle‑tax) unit to four locations in Bali – Denpasar terminal, Gianyar’s Puri Blahbatuh parking area, Karangasem’s Muncan village and Tabanan’s Cau Blayu crossroads – operating from roughly 08:00 to 12:00 local time to allow residents to renew vehicle registration documents.

The following day, Friday 17 July 2026, a mobile SIM (driver’s‑license) service resumed operations in the Greater Jakarta area and nearby cities. In Jakarta it served five sites: Grand Cakung Mall (East Jakarta), LTC Glodok (West Jakarta), Kalibata Campus (South Jakarta), Artha Gading Mall (North Jakarta) and the Pos Lapangan Banteng office (Central Jakarta). Additional sites were opened in Bogor (Lotte Grosir Sholeh Iskandar and Mall Jambu Dua), Bekasi (Mitra 10 Jatimakmur) and Bandung (ITC Kebon Kelapa and McD Pasir Koja). The service offered renewals of SIM A and SIM C licences and required applicants to present identity and health documents.
