Indonesia expands QRIS digital payments for gaming and property tax
QRIS, Indonesia's unified QR code payment system, now enables instant game top‑ups. Users scan a QR code with any supported e‑wallet or mobile banking app, confirm the amount and receive in‑game credits within seconds. The service is offered by platforms such as Gamezi and works with popular wallets including GoPay, DANA, OVO, ShopeePay and major banks, providing a fast, secure alternative to manual transfers.
The same QRIS infrastructure is also being promoted for paying the PBB‑P2 property tax in Jakarta. Taxpayers can settle their dues through e‑wallets, internet banking or e‑commerce platforms, and receive a 5 % discount if payment is made before the 30 September 2026 deadline, avoiding a 1 % monthly penalty for late payment. Both initiatives aim to increase digital payment adoption, improve convenience and support public revenue collection.
