Indonesia Expands Social Support: Labor Ministry Aids Entrepreneurs, ASABRI Assists Soldiers' Families

The Ministry of Labor, through its Directorate General of Labor Placement and Expansion of Work Opportunities, partnered with PT Indo‑Rama Synthetics Tbk to provide capital assistance to five Tenaga Kerja Mandiri (TKM) enterprises in Purwakarta, West Java. The funding aims to strengthen existing businesses and launch new ones, improving production capacity, equipment, market access and digital platforms.

PT ASABRI (Persero) accelerated the processing of survivor benefits for the family of Praka Jefri, a soldier of the 303rd Infantry Battalion killed during an operation in Papua. The insurer coordinated verification and claim administration, delivering the payout to the heir within five working days, demonstrating rapid support for military families.

Both initiatives illustrate Indonesia’s broader effort to combine government resources with private‑sector collaboration to enhance economic opportunities and social protection for citizens.
