Pupuk Kaltim receives Primaniyarta award for urea exports to Australia

PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) has received the Primaniyarta 2026 award from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade in the Manufacturing Industry Exporter category. The recognition follows the company's successful expansion into international markets, specifically through a Government-to-Government (G2G) scheme with Australia.

In May 2026, the company completed an initial shipment of 47,250 tons of urea from Bontang to Australia. This move is part of a larger strategic target to export 250,000 tons of urea by the end of 2026. The partnership aims to strengthen the fertilizer supply chain within the Asia-Pacific region.

While pursuing export opportunities, Pupuk Kaltim emphasized its commitment to maintaining domestic food security by ensuring sufficient fertilizer supplies for Indonesia's planting seasons. As of late September 2026, the company reported production levels for ammonia, urea, and NPK at approximately 79% to 82% of their respective targets.
