Indonesia food and beverage industry shows growth and innovation
The Indonesian food and beverage industry is experiencing positive growth, with the sector contributing 41.86% to the non-oil and gas manufacturing GDP in the first half of 2026. To support this momentum, the 30th edition of Food Ingredients (Fi) Asia Indonesia 2026 will be held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, featuring 700 exhibitors from 10 countries under the theme ‘Elevating Food Standards for a Healthier, Greener Future’.
Industry leaders are adapting to shifting consumer behaviors, where food and beverages are increasingly viewed as lifestyle choices rather than mere necessities. Companies like Erajaya Food & Nourishment are focusing on building communities and lifestyle concepts to maintain customer loyalty.
In the FMCG sector, PT Indosari Mandiri, through its Isami Foods brand, has expanded its distribution network by partnering with Apotek Roxy pharmacies across the Greater Jakarta area. This move aims to increase accessibility to halal-certified snack products such as Cigaro, Cofero, Taki Taki, Jojo, and Tiktok.
