Indonesia food commodity prices show fluctuations in chili, rice, and eggs
Data from the National Food Strategic Price Information Center (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, shows fluctuating prices for several key food commodities across the country.
Red bird's eye chili prices have seen significant movement, with reports indicating prices reaching up to Rp77,800 per kg in some instances. Other chili varieties, such as large red chili and curly red chili, also show price variations. Chicken eggs are priced around Rp29,250 to Rp29,400 per kg.
Rice prices vary by quality. Low-quality rice is priced between Rp14,650 and Rp15,450 per kg, medium quality ranges from Rp16,300 to Rp16,500 per kg, and super quality is listed between Rp17,150 and Rp17,750 per kg. Other commodities include beef, sugar, garlic, shallots, and cooking oil, which continue to experience price shifts at the retail level.
