Indonesia Free Health Check program reaches 73.8 million people

Indonesia's Free Health Check (CKG) program has reached 73.8 million people as of July 31, 2026, surpassing the total participation recorded in 2025. The Ministry of Health aims to extend this coverage to 130 million residents by the end of the year.

In Tangerang City, the Health Office reported that 203,271 students from elementary to high school levels participated in the screenings through August 2026. Among students over 15 years old, health officials identified significant risk factors for non-communicable diseases, including dyslipidemia (59.02%), obesity (21.28%), glucose metabolism disorders (12.85%), and hypertension (3.2%).

National data highlights the importance of routine testing; follow-up examinations of 9.2 million participants who previously showed normal blood pressure revealed that approximately 1 million individuals were actually experiencing hypertension. The program includes medical follow-ups, education, and referrals to ensure identified health issues are managed through community health centers or medical facilities.
