Indonesia holds job interviews for 105 migrant workers heading to Japan

Approximately 105 Indonesian migrant worker candidates participated in joint interviews with 23 Japanese institutions in Jakarta on Wednesday. The selection is part of the 20th batch of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Government-to-Government (G to G) program, targeting placement in 2027.

The candidates are applying for positions as nurses and careworkers. Mukhtarudin, the Minister of Migrant Worker Protection, personally inspected the process to ensure transparency and mutual understanding between the Indonesian workers and the Japanese employers.

Minister Mukhtarudin emphasized that the interviews allow candidates to understand their future workplaces and job descriptions in detail, while enabling employers to select the most suitable candidates. Under the program, each job seeker is permitted to select up to 10 different employing institutions.
