Indonesia holds prayers for missing journalists and ship victims

Communities and authorities in Indonesia are holding prayer services for those missing following maritime incidents. In Bekasi, residents gathered at the home of Yudistoro Pranoto's mother to pray for the journalist and several others, including four journalists and three crew members, who lost contact while reporting on the eruption of Gunung Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Strait.

In Banjarmasin, the Port and Sea Area Police (Polsek KPL) organized a prayer session at the Trisakti Port Passenger Terminal to support the families of victims from the KM Virgo Transport 8, which sank in the Java Sea. The event brought together families, volunteers, and emergency personnel, including the TNI-Polri and Basarnas, to seek spiritual strength as search and rescue operations continue.
