Indonesia hosts anti-drug campaigns for International Anti-Narcotics Day 2026

Universitas Bina Taruna (UNBITA) in Gorontalo marked International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) 2026 with a health‑walk, Zumba session and speeches urging students to become role models for a drug‑free campus. Rector Dr. Ellys Rachman and BNN Gorontalo chief Pol. Sri Bardiyati highlighted the need for coordinated action among government, academia and civil society.

In Maros, South Sulawesi, Deputy Regent Muetazim Mansyur opened the HANI 2026 observance in the village of Mattirotasi and formally established a village‑level Anti‑Narcotics Task Force. He praised local groups for grassroots drug‑prevention outreach and urged other villages to adopt similar structures, echoing national priorities to curb drug circulation, especially among youth.
