An Se-young wins 2026 BWF World Championship title

South Korean badminton star An Se-young has claimed her second BWF World Championship title at the 2026 tournament in New Delhi, India. She secured the women's singles crown by defeating defending champion Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in straight games, with a final score of 21-17, 21-14.

An Se-young completed the tournament without dropping a single game throughout her campaign. In the semifinals, she overcame Wang Zhi Yi, and in earlier rounds, she defeated players from Denmark and China.
