Indonesia housing initiatives target low-income families

In Banten, Governor Andra Soni is urging developers within the Real Estate Indonesia (REI) association to expand their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. The goal is to distribute aid for habitable housing more broadly, specifically targeting the Lebak and Pandeglang regencies to support low-income communities.

In Central Java, Habitat for Humanity Indonesia has partnered with the Sragen Regency government to improve 101 substandard homes through the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS). This collaboration provides a total of Rp40 million per family, combining Rp20 million in government aid with Rp20 million in supplemental funding from Habitat for Humanity. The initiative aims to address significant housing challenges in Sragen, where thousands of low-income families currently reside in inadequate housing.
