Indonesia hybrid vehicle market expands amid GIIAS Bandung preparations

The hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) market in Indonesia shows increasing variety as of September 2026. Options range from affordable models like the Suzuki Ertiga GX MT Hybrid, priced at Rp280,900,000, to luxury vehicles from brands such as Lexus and Toyota.

Several manufacturers have adjusted their pricing. Chery has implemented price increases across multiple models, including the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 series. Meanwhile, Toyota's Camry 2.5 Hybrid is listed at Rp977,200,000.

In related automotive news, the GIIAS Bandung 2026 exhibition is scheduled for September 9–13, 2026, at the Sudirman Grand Ballroom. The event will feature test drive and test ride opportunities for 42 vehicles, consisting of 36 cars and six motorcycles, allowing visitors to experience vehicle performance and technology firsthand.
