Indonesia implements fiscal measures and infrastructure budget planning

The Indonesian government is managing several major fiscal and infrastructure initiatives. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is targeting 7 percent investment growth by 2027 and aims to reduce the 2026 Free Nutritious Meal budget to below Rp 200 trillion through efficiency and technology.

Tax enforcement is a priority, with authorities processing 38 out of 40 steel companies suspected of tax evasion, potentially recovering significant state revenue. The Ministry of Industry supports these measures to ensure a healthy business ecosystem.

In infrastructure, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) faces a budget shortfall of Rp 94.27 trillion to meet its 2027 goal of building 2.08 million homes. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works (PU) has been allocated Rp 114.59 trillion for 2027, focusing on connectivity and food security. The Directorate General of Land Transportation has also secured a Rp 5.15 trillion budget for 2027 to strengthen land transport services.

Additionally, the LKPP reported a 54.9 percent efficiency rate in state spending through procurement consolidation, and the KPK's budget is set to increase to Rp 2.22 trillion for 2027 to support anti-corruption efforts.
