Indonesia junior badminton team wins bronze at Suhandinata Cup

The Indonesian junior badminton team secured a bronze medal at the 2026 BWF World Junior Team Championships, also known as the Suhandinata Cup, held in Cairo, Egypt. The team's run ended in the semifinals following a defeat against Malaysia with scores of 49–55 and 42–55.

Despite the loss, team manager Eskar Denatara noted that reaching the semifinals was a successful achievement, as the team entered the tournament ranked 10th. Denatara identified mental pressure and the intense atmosphere of the crowd as key factors that hindered the players' ability to execute their strategies effectively. The team plans to use this experience as an evaluation tool ahead of the individual competition segments.
