Indonesia launches integrated online admission system for 2026 school enrollment

Metranet's SCALA platform introduced an end‑to‑end online system for the 2026 Student Admission (SPMB) process, covering registration, data verification, selection and result announcement in a single portal. Since 2024 the solution has been deployed in 147 educational institutions, serving more than 5,000 schools across 15 provinces and 30 districts, with 24/7 technical support to handle high traffic periods.

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education mandates the use of the zonal‑allocation pathway, giving priority to students living nearest to a school. The digital platform enforces the 2025 regulation by verifying residents’ data in real time, preventing address manipulation and ensuring transparent, equitable school placement for kindergarten, primary and junior high levels nationwide.
