Indonesia leads BWF World Championships men's doubles titles

Indonesian men's doubles players hold the record for the most titles at the BWF World Championships, with a total of 10 championships won. This achievement places Indonesia ahead of China, which has secured 8 titles in the same category.

Hendra Setiawan stands out as a premier figure in this history, having secured four world championship titles with two different partners. His first title came in 2007 alongside Markis Kido. He later achieved three additional titles with Mohammad Ahsan, winning in 2013, 2015, and 2019.

Indonesia's dominance in the sector spans several decades, beginning with Tjun Tjun and Johan Wahyudi in 1977. Other notable championship pairs include Ade Chandra and Chhristian Adinata, Ricky Subagja and Rexy Mainaki, Candra Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto, and Tony Gunawan and Halim Haryanto.
