Indonesia local governments boost PBB-P2 tax collection

In Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta, the implementation of the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB‑P2) reached 71.29% of its 2026 target, amounting to about Rp29 billion of the Rp41 billion goal. Five villages—Kranggan, Brosot, Gulurejo, Ngentakrejo, and Kebonharjo—have fully paid their taxes, an outcome credited to cooperation among sub‑district officials, village heads, tax collectors and residents.

Meanwhile, the Barito Utara Regency in Central Kalimantan opened a PBB‑P2 payment stand at Muara Teweh’s Car Free Day event. The service allowed citizens to settle dues, re‑print tax notices and check arrears on‑site, aiming to raise awareness and improve compliance ahead of the 30 November 2026 deadline. Officials highlighted that tax revenue supports local infrastructure, education and health projects.
