Indonesia Ministry of Housing allocates Rp1.5 trillion for North Sumatra

Indonesia's Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) is coordinating housing and settlement programs across several provinces. During a recent evaluation, Minister Maruarar Sirait noted that South Sulawesi has demonstrated high absorption rates for housing programs, which are funded through both the State Budget (APBN) and non-APBN sources like corporate social responsibility (CSR).

In North Sumatra, the Ministry has allocated approximately Rp1.5 trillion for 2026 to support various housing initiatives. Governor Bobby Nasution is collaborating with the Ministry to implement eight key programs, including home renovations, low-cost apartments, slum area management, sanitation, and post-disaster permanent housing. The provincial government aims to ensure these programs are realized effectively through strong synergy with the Ministry and local stakeholders.
