Indonesia Ministry of Law advances intellectual property initiatives

The Indonesian Ministry of Law is advancing its intellectual property (IP) initiatives through both domestic planning and international knowledge exchange.

In Bali, representatives from the Bangka Belitung Regional Office of the Ministry of Law participated in a supervision session regarding the 2027 Work Plan and Budget (RKA-K/L) for IP programs. The session focused on refining budget proposals to ensure they are effective, measurable, and accountable, following reviews and research conducted by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property.

Simultaneously, Eem Nurmanah, the Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, has been appointed as part of a delegation to Denmark. The mission involves coordinating with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) to study international IP management. The delegation aims to gain insights into patent and trademark administration, public awareness, and enforcement coordination to bolster Indonesia's innovation and economic competitiveness.
